Fix the bass in videos

I apologize if this is in the wrong spot. I have the best of intentions.

A number of your videos pick up every instance something is set on your table. I hear a roar of thunderous bass during unboxings. Very loosely speaking the table becomes a giant bass drum and the mic picks up everything. At the very least Krista is aware of it.

I’m going to reference your most video as an example:

Some possible, relatively low effort fixes:

  1. Apply a high pass filter at ~40Hz to audio. Basically all low frequency sounds get dropped. If this is too extreme, figures in the 20-39Hz range might be valid. For context, MOST of your audience won’t hear much below ~60Hz coming out of their speakers, and those listening on headphones won’t have a visceral experience for those listening with a powerful subwoofer. If you’re using OBS this doesn’t appear hard as a one and done tweak - but I am an amateur and woefully ignorant.
  2. Use a microphone stand. This decouples the mic from the table. Amazon Basics Tripod Boom Microphone Stand = $17
  3. Both, possibly with a lower threshold to the high pass filter.
