Yeah, it's WCCF, but what the hell... Rougly 38% improvement over 8350 and it is working at 2,8/3,2GHz...
I am going to get myself a Zen CPU (and a cabinet to put my ol´FX-8320 into)!
Now imagine if one of those 8 cores could hit 3.8GHz... "bye bye" - Jamie Hyneman
PS: You are in the wrong section.
Where should i be?
CPU
Because Polaris and Vega is GPU
C and G... Looks so similar... Sorry. I am a blind psychopath...
Nah, you are THE blind Psychopath!
When was the last time they put a cpu worth a damn ? I forget. So did most of the amd builders :)
I'm the whaaaat? God damn it, we haven't talk about the numbers yet... What you think about the numbers... THE NUMBEEEEERSSSS...
750K/760K
Personally they are going to have to do better than that to get back the builders that had no choice but to migrate to intel.
oh ya the big richland flop :) so many flops i can't keep track of them anymore :)
Now what?
Coming from a desktop user Richland wasn't even worth paying attention to. I am Amd fan.
Coming from somebody, who is still using Richland, i can tell you, that it is good enough for cheap gaming rig. It got even better, when the games started using 4 cores properly, and it started blowing the pentiums away. Really, Richland and the FM2+ platform is not bad at all... IDK what your complaints are, but for the price - it's great...
Not saying it is terrible but neither is something to bring home to the parents either ? Cpu wise Amd lost so much of the market that if they do not put out something kicks ass and takes names, they are dead in cpu market. They do not get it right, they are gone. At least the gpus are surviving. You notice that is 1080p against old cpus ? Which is a bad way to do comparisions.
Their APUs are quite good. For light office tasks, they are much better than anything Intel has.
Did they mention whether it was a Quad Core or Octa Core? If so, is this game CPU bounded by that much and does it take advantage of many cores/threads? 38% jump though from the FX CPUs sounds impressive considering that's only an engineering sample.
Eh? Not exactly as far as CPU performance goes, but their iGPUs are a whole different story.
Octa core... 2.8 - 3.2GHz, compared to the 3,6/4GHz intel quad core...
And yes, It's an Engineering sample.
CPUs aren't going to work much harder at 4K than they do on 1080p, that's the GPU's job to push harder. And the i5/i7 from Haswell is only a few % weaker than Skylake and 10-15% than Kaby-Lake I assume.
Oh, not as impressive, but still, imagine the multi-threading performance of this thing.
