I want to build a pc but Im stuck between an a 10 5800k with hd7850 or an amd phenom ii 965 be with 7870, I want something fast for the internet and gaming, i come from ps3 as a gaming platform... I have a 2006 pentium 4 pc wich sucks now... i want to upgrade
or if some help me with parts for a cheap gaming built with power supply ?
What's the budget? also, the a10 is a APU. (this means there's a GOU built in) So you shouldn't get a dedicate GPU with it. Unless it's the same one. If you give me the budget, I'll set you up with a build.
Don't get the A10 - that's an APU with integrated graphics. since you're going to be gaming with a discrete video card, you don't need the integrated graphics. the FX-6300 is a sweet 6-core part for $120
Pair it with this board, and you're looking at a nice base for a gaming rig.

and yes, purchase a 7200RPM drive. 5400 is slower spinning / slower performance which is mainly for laptops. i would considder an SSD
