Okay so Im building a new pc it will be my first one. I have a wishlist on newegg http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=21920832. What I need help with is if anyone recommends any changes to this keeping it in the price range of 1200 dollars. Also does it look like a good build? I plan to use it for gaming.
how can i vieuw youre wishlist?
Uhm, what build?
A link would be nice.
I don't think others seeing what your wishlist is would be a huge concern of most who aren't also wearing tinfoil hats. Just post the link so we can give you advice.
yea sorry last time I tried a link it didn't work but here it is http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=21920832
ONE THOUSAND WATTS? That's probably 2.5 times overkill
If you are spending 1200$ then there is no point for AMD
Go for the Intel...like i5 3570k ,Z77 Motherboard,7970 grapich card ;)
BTW 1000watts is overkill take 600watt....
Why not? the AMD FX8350 is faster then the i5 3570 k, in 8 out of 10 games..?
And the i5 doesnt have HT so im for sure, the FX is faster in almost everything :P
I want to stick with AMD if theres a way to cut down the price that would be good yes im gonna go with a different PSU.
yes, if i may advice you on youre wishlist.
take a decent 650/750W 80+bronze psu.
chance the memory to memory with low heat spreader, thease onces

cause otherwise you can get a problem wenn you want to install it in slot 1/3 dual channel cause of that big cpu cooler.
for the rest good build realy :)
notice that the msi board doesnt have a front usb3.0 header, youre case has one usb 3.0 port!
yep this will do it http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Lcfb
Thanks for your help so much. But if you have any ideas for a great system yet a somewhat cheaper system please let me know because I am 15 and im not sure how much money im going to be able to aquire.
How much do you have a.t.m? And it's always good to see a 15 year old choosing for pc gaming instead of buying a crappy console.
Unfortunately I already have a console and now wish I didn't I will probably end up selling it and maybe a few other things. I plan to OC as well so is this possible with the system parts I have?
you can do a overclock but not crazy things, on that particular motherboard.
but i realy dont get why everybody wants to oc anyway, cause wenn you put on the turbo mode on the FX8350 it runs at 4.2 GHZ
That is true mystery angel I do know that much. Is there any other ideas you guys ave?
maybe its an idea to chance the motherboard to a Gigabyte GA-970A-ud3, if you want to do some experiance with overclocking...
for the rest this build is nice. but if you dont care about oc then the build is realy nice.
if you want better gaming performance, then you could takeout the ssd, and put the money you saved, in a HD7970 gpu if gaming is inportant.
but i must say i have a HD7870 my self, and its realy a good performing card.
Thank you soo much for your help I think I might just do that.
What about the HD7970 being pci 3.0 but my motherborard says its only for 2.0????
Well... GTX Titan is the only graphic card that can nearly take full potential PCI-E 2.0, even next generation GPU's wont use much of PCI-E 2.0 potential and PCI-E 3.0 is just shooting for the future proof. I reckon that PCI-E 3.0 will be needed in 2016 or 2017(I am being optimistic)...
