First Time Build Help

Hey there looking into doing a first time build but I need help on what parts to use. Obviously I want to get the most for my money as it is an important factor. I have been playing around with a few sites building a PC and this is what I am looking into at the moment:

  • i5 - 2500K 3.3Ghz
  • Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 3GB
  • Cooler Master HAF 912 ATX Mid
  • ASRock Z77 Extreme4 ATX  LGA1155 Motherboard
  • Kingston HyperX 3K 120GB 2.5" Solid State Disk
  • NZXT Hale82n 750W PSU
  • Lite-On iHAS124-04 DVD/CD Writer
  • Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler
  • Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
  • G.Skill Value Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1333 Memory

My budget is around $1200 and I will need OS, Keyboard and Monitor. Will be used with gaming in mind, want to play the latest games well e.g. Dishonored, Bordeland 2 etc. Many thanks guys feel free to do what you want with the build, heck critisize the heck out of it if needs be but, does this seem decent?

Thanks guys for your help, looking forward to seeing what you come up with! :)

Are you going to overclock or is that just here to keep it cool?, you won't be able to reach past 4.2Ghz with only the 212 EVO

I may look into overclocking, I just want it to be an option for the future.

That should put you around 1200

newegg is doing matenece right now so Images are off on some things like keyboards so I really don't have one to recommend

Thanks man this has been really useful definately some parts I will swap out here, will keep you up to date on the build.
