If it's true, it's a cool development in neural science. The fact that there are no scientific publications, however, makes me particularly skeptical of it's validity. As a chemistry student who has been involved in university research, I've come to learn how viciously competitive research can be. A scientist's reputation is the most important thing he has in his work, and publications are the life blood of the researcher's career. The fact that they released a video of their work without even independent verification of the project seems odd, to say the least.
I don't know. Maybe that's just me. Anyone else got any thoughts?
