Hey guys, iv'e just made this account but i have been watching Tek Syndicate for years now and just gotten around to making a profile on there website. Well anyways i was looking for some help. Now this is not a amd vs intel or a amd vs nvidia post at all! but i cant seem to find the sweet spot in the price to performance between the brands in my budget. So i was hoping someone could help me, iv'e recently saved up some money from my job (around 1,500$) and i need your opinion on a build. Im not looking to do much with this rig besides gaming, keep that in mind. I know a bit about components but im 100% sure you guys know more. so if you could help me out that would be great.
Side not: i already own a "higher end" psu and case so no need to factor that into the 1500$.
I would recommend a i5-4690K if you do mainaly gaming, Because the i5-4690K is simply a better allrounder wenn it comes to gaming, better ipc, and better single threaded performance which makes sense in allot of games. You could offcourse also look atthe 4790K, if you also doing streaming, or littlebit of video editing and what not.
Next to that i would recommend a GTX970, or maybe even a GTX980.. But it would be nice to know what kind of color scheme you prefer.

Option 2: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/MbjDMp
Option 3: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Z2Rxt6
I made a few option just for an idea. ☺
Offcourse Option 3 will have the best gaming performance. You could also cheap out on the mobo if you like to, But i choosed the Asus Maximus 7 Hero because in my opinnion its just a decent board, Great onboard audio, intel lan, One of the best overclockers friendly bios (imo).
i choosed for 16GB of ram, offcourse if you like you could also cheap out there and grab 2x4GB. But thats up to you.
I'd go with with option 2 if I was you. You could still even fit the GTX 980 in the budget. I assume that you have a monitor and peripherals already. The GTX 970 will be completely sufficient for most everything right now, and you could get a second one sometime in the future.
I did not expect even a single reply, this community is awesome! thankyou all.
And angel im defiantly taking that 4790k into thought. probably the whole second option actually. Well besides the cpu cooler and ram, i really have my mind set on the h105 or h110 cpu coolers by corsair and also the dominator platinum ram. But if i were to pick a color scheme i really enjoy black/red. Thanks for your feedback guys.
Be sure to take pictures and post them when you build it. We love that stuff. My only input it with the HDD if you have the little extra to spare go with the WD Black for the better warranty.
if you like an All in one Water cooler, you may also check out the Cooler Master Nepton 280L. The fans arent that fancy but yeah, it seems to perform great.
