hi guys, i am building my first desktop pc, i have been thinking about it, reading reviews and choosing the components for like 3 or 4 months and i am probably ordering the components next week.
i just wanted a final opinion from someone with more experience about my final choices, here are the components:
Grab the Asus V-PRO motherboard if you want wireless capability, if you are using a plugged in internet connection just grab the asrock etreme 4 motherboard and grab the vengeance for the ram since it is clocked at 1600 Mhz compared to the ripjaws which is 1333 Mhz. For the SSD just grab the kingston Hyper-X and for the case you might want to get Something like Cooler Master HAF 912 for better airflow but it is up to you preference so just stick to the bitfenix case if you like it. You might also want to checkout newweggs since for most of the time they've got better prices and their combo deals can save you some money too. Therest of the parts looks good to me.
Link spamming happens but for future reference just highlight a word in your text then click on the little chain link, next to the numbered bullet points in the comment format bar, and place the link.
and about monitors, i want something good for games and movies and with height adjust, my main choise would be the: Asus PA238Q. Any other recommendations?
Motherboard, I love the Asus ROG Maximus V gene. It's a bit pricer, not by much, and still gives you SLI and Crossfire X in a mATX form
CPU, 3570K. The little extra power might be nice
Ram, The Ripjaw X 1600, 1877, or 2133 solid choices. I so go with the best in your price range for that.
PSU, Corsair makes pretty solid power supplies, but if you want the best for the price, to me the DiabloTek 600w is an amazing steal....BUT, it's only 600w
I say shop around some for cases unless you are aboslutly sold on the case you want.
SSDs, Intel's 520 and 330 series SSDs are really good There is also the Corsair Force GTs offer great preformance.
GPU, both the Nvidia GTX 660 and 660 TI are great cards. It depends if you want to pay for a little extra power. Both are quite powerful, but they neither will give you something like Crysis 2 maxed at 60fps. They still yelid great preformance.
On a side note, I say use the feedback from part sites like Newegg.com and Tigerdirect.com to help find what parts are mind blowing and which are duds.
i think i am goint to change the case to the corsair vengeance c70, i love the design
and for the psu, ocz 750w fatality, i think it is at a good price
with the motherboards, maybe the asus V-pro is a bit pricey so the second choise would be the asrock extreme6, what would i need to buy to get a good wi-fi connection ?
