well,if you you could cheap out on the case ,remove the sound card and maybe you don't need a 850 watt power supply,i think a corsair 650 watt would suit you..

Drop that soundcard unless you are hooking up any expensive headsets or speakers, logitec speakers are just simply crap...unless you go for the expensive ones (Z906)

Power supply is overkill, this Seasonic 620 watt is more than sufficient:

Would the 620 be more than sufficient even whilst overclocking? and do you have any other suggestions for speakers that are fairly cheap but still good quality?

The 620 watt PSU will handle all that you throw at it with this current build, including high overclocks.

There are no speakers worth mentioning to pair with a soundcard under $100...

You need to go pretty high end with audio to take good use of a soundcard.

Onboard audio is more than enough for any normal user.

I have just noticed, you have included win 7 pro? no need for that.......

Grab Win 7 Home premium x64 SP1

Definitley drop the sound card, Look for a different case (The Bitfenix Shinobi is a solid case and is decently priced at that store) and get a 650Watt PSU (Corasir CX 750 is not to bad for the price)

Also get a different monitor, a Samsung or LG monitor with a TN panel should be as good than the ASUS at a cheaper price.

Get a Segate 1TB HDD instead of the WD black or go WD blue/green if you want

Also get a different motherboard, id recommend the Gigabyte D3H or UD3H depending on the pricing.

Don't I need the Windows XP Mode on the Pro?

XP mode is a pile of shit...

I've switched my SeaSonic 850W PSU for a Corsair HX 650W PSU. I've switched my OS from Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, Service Pack 1, OEM to Windows 7 Premium 64-bit, Service Pack 1, OEM. I've removed my sound card, and downgraded my speakers.

Now I'm up to a total of approximately $1,950 and I need to reduce it by $100 - $150.

Changed my HDD to SeaGate 1TB HDD.

Pretty sure home premium only supports like 16gb of ram max.

Not a problem now, but eventually it could become one...

And you're getting an i5 for gaming? Not really the best value.

If I were you, I'd be getting a 8350. It is the best cpu for gaming (value-wise) and is basically neck and neck with with 3770k. Watching logan's newest bench video will show this. The 3770k only beat the 8350 by a large difference in one test that they did, which, i believe, was xfired 7970s on far cry? or metro. Can't remember which.

Also, here.

It's a legit website. I ordered a w7 restore disk from them that was dell-branded, worked like a charm.

get a gtx670, they are 370$ on newegg right now
