First pc build

I am thinking about building my gaming first pc. I was wondering what everyone thought about this newegg combo?

Dear lord, no...

Ram at 1333 with the integrated GPU, motherboard, that doesn't offer jump to more powerful Kaveri APUs, 750 wats power supply for a system, that draws less then 200W max...

I guess your budget is 430$ and you buy from newegg?

No, I would like to go no higher than $500. I have only bought one thing form newegg. I bought my girlfriend a all in one printer from them a couple years ago. I am wanting to build myself a gaming desktop. I am a noob, so im open to suggestions.  I am in interested in games, such as skyrim, half life, etc.

Ya thats no good, go with a amd 6300, r9 270x, 1TB hdd, some case, and 8bg memory

I guess this would improve a lot the performance

that would work too :) you will need a fairly good system to run Skyrim, at least a 6300 or amd apu

Could go with a new pentium also

The problem with that kit is mainly the AMD 5800K APU. It will have a real hard time with Skyrim and most other games. Even the new 7850k APU is entry level gaming performance. The fx6300 is a great CPU but it and the fx motherboards are getting outdated. This will be a problem if you want a better upgrade path in a few years. If you want to go AMD route look at the 760k CPU and FM2+ motherboards D3 or D4. If you want to go Intel route a Pentium G3220, G3258 or i3 and B85, Z87 or Z97 motherboard. Paired with a AMD 260x or GTX750ti video card will give you a excellent gaming experience at 1080p and will last a few years till your ready to upgrade. I'll post a god $500 build for you soon as I get a chance.

Are you planning on doing any over clocking? What resolution will you be gaming at? 1080p?

CPU - A10 7850K

CPU Cooler - Corsair H60

MoBo - Asrock FM2A88M-HD+

Memory - 8GB Silicon Power  2400 MHz (Use AMD memory if you can afford it but get fast ram if your using the APU graphics it really helps)

PSU - Any 430+ watt 80+ certified unit from reputable company (Corsair, Seasonic, ect.)

Case - Any mATX or ATX you find that suits you. (Just put this machine together for my brother in a NZXT H230 case I had sitting here empty.)

After the build bro has been extreamly happy with what the machine will do for now and still has the upgradability later. JaysTwoCents through a GTX 780 in with that CPU and was still pushing 100 FPS in Battlefield 4, so the CPU power isn't limiting factor for now in this perticular build for upgrades. We are going to add a SSD to the build later as well as either my gtx760 when I upgrade or he may pick up a R9 270X all depends on how things go I suppose.

In short what I am trying to say here is you don't want to lock yourself down with something that might not be able to do everything you want without the ability to go get the upgrade and plug it in. So grab at least a motherboard that will support newer CPUs and PCIe standards of at least 2.0 (3.0 recommended by me but meh can't saturate that bus yet anyways) Have fun!

Its a cheap build, and I'd actually recommend changing out the power supply in the future, but this could play those games pretty well. I'd say 30-50fps in skyrim and bf4. I'm a noob to the PC world myself, but to build your own PC is saving you money and allowing you to broaden your mind by learning a new craft.

I would forget the 7850k apu. For the same price a AMD 760K cpu and R7 250 or GTX640 video card will perform better. The 7850k has its benefits with less heat overall, everything in one simple easy package, but performance per dollar it does not.

I'm a noob, so I'm not sure about overclocking. I have no idea on how to overclock. I am going to be hooking up to a television instead of a monitor.

Here's a PC part list for around $600 the only thing not included is an OS and a DVD drive  this is what I would build with a limited budget

A bit weak on the GPU :>

Solid build. GPU and mobo support crossfire, PSU not so much
