First Pc build

Hey guys i need help i want to build a pc that is for gaming and video editing the buget is £650 max and tht has to include everything inc os and case and monitor :/ i want a good gpu etc and i want at least 1tb of storage thx if you can help tht would be awsome :)

Is there no compromise? If you're in education, you can get Windows for free. Or you can try a free Linux based OS. Instead of buying a monitor now, you could use a spare HDMI tv.

If you can compromise on the monitor and OS, you can get a beefy system:

If you need the OS and monitor:

Something like that. Massive compromise on the GPU. It will game really well, but lacks in productivity. You can get a single stick of 4GB RAM to bring it closer to budget. Then add additional RAM later.

im in education how can i  get windows for free ? :)

just to let you guys know i need a gpu with a vga port because ive already got a cable and i live in the uk,if i could use dvi in the uk tell me

Sometimes, you will get appropriate cables shipped with your GPU. You shouldn't be using VGA!! With a 1080p monitor, you will be fine with an ordinary HDMI cable.

The video card comes with a DVI to VGA adapter (most video cards do only ultra high end video cards dont output analog)

Not that it matters you shude get a dvi cable for a 1080p monitor (there like £2 at your local pc shop)

Talk to your university or college. They should be able to advise you. Tell them you are without a computer at home, and you need an OS. They should email you an activation code.

You can download a Windows 30 day free trial, in the meantime.

0k thx so much guys :) im setting up a £1000 setup but i want money for a webcam and peripherals but i think thts all :) i cant thank you enough.

Woah woah woah woah woah

For £1000, you should be putting a lot more into your computer, and not worrying about things like peripherals.

I have a PC that cost a high amount. I'm using a £15 keyboard and mouse just fine. You can get a lot more PC that you have budgeted for!

i know but i need everything like a table headset webcam ive already got a keyboard and mouse and i want to pre-order destiny for the pc if i can get all that and more pc then tell me a list :)

Completely high-end build. Everything included for £765, minus the keyboard and mouse you already have, and minus the OS you can get for free.

That leaves you almost £250 for a desk et cetera. Again, I am using a £20 desk. You don't need to spend lots of money on those items. Invest more in your computer. It will produce a much higher level of performance.

ok thx :)
