Hi i just build my new cheap pc can you help me out on somehings or parts that maybe better with the build thanks!

 

Proc : Llano Lynx A8-3870K Black Edition

RAM : Gskill RipjawsX 8GBx1 DDR3 / is the 8g 4gx2 1866Mhz better or just stick with the 1600Mhz?

Mobo : Asus F1a75m-LE

Cooling : DeepCool Gamaxx 300

VGA : Sapphire HD 6670 w/ Hypermemory "crossfire w/ the A8" or discreet higher GPU better? what kind?

HDD : Seagate 2TB /  SSD 120/128Gb sata 3 tips on what brand works better?

PSU : CoolerMaster 600W SilentPro

Case : Emaxx Rebel 

 

this is just a cheap rig and i just want to maximise this amd build thanks!

Go Fm2 or am3+. fm1 is dead. and plz include links to your products.

ssd vertex 4, plextor, corsair, and samsung are good ones.

the faster the ram the better for the APU's (when using integrated gpu)

budget for what? yes i know fm1 is not future proof but this is only for my wife who plays crossfire and uses facebook. i just want to max her fm1 build. im saving up for an i5 new pc for me. thanks

Ok. if you want us to help you plz post what hardware you have for her build.(what is she curently using right now with links) Are you upgrading it? are you building it from scratch? and plz include links to your products. We need to know how much you can spend on this build so we can help optimize your build. and on your i5 build wait till fx8320 and see where that stacks up (oct 23)

 

"yes i know fm1 is not future proof" FM1 isn't future anything. it is dead, no new cpus no drop in replacements with am3+ you will have 4 generations to choose from. so if you buy a low end am3 or am3+ four core today you can drop in a four core that's 50% faster  a year from now or go with a 8 core down the line.


PS for the love of god dont go fm1

this pc is already 4 months old. and i live in the philippines so almost just the same price more or less depending on store. i dont have links sorry. so a8+6670 crossfire is < HD 7850? discreet is better?

hardware is listed above she's already using it. when i bought the fm1 i have no money for the gpu thats why i chose the Llano apu. its just a cheap game rig and im just asking what more i can upgrade in this current setup. i can spend about 2-300$ more for her rig. thanks. can you give me specific items to put so i can look it up.

can you just give me specific name of parts and brands and ill look it up. i dont have links. all the parts thats already listed and dont worry bout the price. just tips and descriptions why would help thanks! and for the i5 maybe i can build it next year when i come home from work. thanks

About the ram, allways go to 2 sticks of dual chanel for better performance.

One stick of 8Gb maybe cheaper than a 2x4Gb, but they are made to work as a pair(except for mobo's of triple chanel).

 

Go for a really cheap aftermarket cooler, or keep the stock one if you dont whant to do overclocking,

Remove the SSD, your wife can handle the 10sec more of boot time, don't go for a 2TB HDD, buy a smaller faster one, then go for external storage.

Buy the HD 7850, is a lot better than the crossfire option.

You maybe also go for the new FM2 socket, the prices are good, and they have 25% more performance per Ghz than is precessors.

im going to change my RAM for the Gskill Ares 8Gb 4gx2 1866Mhz DDR3, and about the cooling and gpu its already instaled so im just going to keep in mind that future 7850 to change my crossfire current setup! and no need for the SSD? i thought it would really please her to boost the boot time :p thanks.
