First multiplayer ban for using DXVK has occured (UPDATE: Don't use/install xdotool!)

Also, there are others involved than just the coders. The coders get told what to implement. The guys you need to hit via twitter, etc.) are management of the developer (not the publisher, but also the publisher wouldn’t hurt).

We’re early days with DXVK (and gaming to this degree on linux via emulation in general). Please be patient, the game development world is going to take a little time to adjust. They’ve put significant time and effort into anti-cheat measures over the years, and i suspect a lot of the automated checks they have in their code will get tripped up from time to time by non-windows platforms.

“Official” ports of games via Aspyr, etc. even if using Wine would have been sanitised to some degree for this sort of thing tripping things up.

Just running games via wine (that aren’t officially supported that way) because now the compatibility is good enough will likely cause these sorts of bugs/bans for quite some time until the sorts of things that trip anti-cheat (inadvertently), etc. are well known.

Totally understandable that they need time to adjust. But the least thing they could do is unban everyone, where they can’t prove without a doubt that they have actually cheated. Presume innocence until proven guilty.

But they didn’t  Everyone is still banned.

The Steamplay / proton is hampered by these DRM schemes from copy protection to anti network, HID cheating.

End result is making badly coded games worse.
