First Gaming PC

Hey guys. I'm new to this website. I have some experience with PC components and building one is no problem but I figured I'd try my luck here. I want to build a PC optimised purely for gaming. (maybe some general web surfing and streaming) I have exhausted a lot of options when looking for parts. I have a budget of $1000 AUD which if the components are right could be pushed to $1600. I really want the FX 8350 to begin with. As you'll see when you look, Australian prices are ridiculous. I would prefer the R9 280X but if something better comes a long for cheaper or not much more, great! I love the simplicity of Fractal cases. And I'd really like to get a Noctua CPU cooler because AMD stock fans are horrible. LED mouse and keyboard would be great but not needed right away. Anyway, any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks guys and stay black metaaaaaaaalll!

Are you going to be overclocking the FX-8350?  Here's a build which is tower hardware only.  Add OS, WiFi card, and anything else you may need.

That is very nice. I do plan on over clocking both the CPU and GPU eventually which is why I wanted the Noctua cooler.

Also, would that motherboard allow me to upgrade to the FX 9000 series CPUs?

An updated part list. A bit more expensive but I think it would be decent. :)

Looks good.  As for the FX-9XXX, those are just highly overclocked FX-8320s.  They run hot.  I wouldn't bother with them.

I agree with everything Some Tech Noob has said here and the only thing I might change is grabbing a slightly better mobo, maybe a m5a99x pro 2.0

Is the M5A99X Pro better than the sabertooth? Thanks for the help guys.

mechanical keyboards are costly I think you can get better by getting this keyboard and mouse -- http://www.amazon.com/CM-Storm-Devastator-Keyboard-Edition/dp/B00DKXXAAQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1407377615&sr=8-1&keywords=cooler+master+devastator for 30 bucks ...

Talking about gaming PC 8350 FX is best in that price is to performance ratio. It would be better if you can get something like i7 3960k but still AMD 8350 FX does much better than expected in gaming .

Yeah. I didn't see the point in getting an Intel because I won't be editing or rendering, anything like that. I think AMD is a great choice CE if all you're doing is gaming and streaming.

Solid recommendations.  If you are overclocking I would go with http://au.pcpartpicker.com/part/asrock-motherboard-990fxextreme3 for the motherboard.  It is $9 more, but should overclock better.

Really? That's the first time Ive seen someone recommend ASrock over Asus ever. Haha. Ive never actually looked into ASrock, are they good?

I updated it a little. A couple of things. Is the PSU sufficient enough for the components? And is the RAM okay for clearence with the Noctua cooler? Thanks everyone.
