im am working on my first build and i ran in to a snag i baught the thermaltake commander ms-i snow and the case only came with two  standoffs im freacking out so far i have my Mobo,ram,HDD,case,and psu i really need help and i don't know that CPU that i should go with i have an fm2 Mobo  i was thinking of going with the AMD a-10 6800k , Or the amd althon x4 760k<--- with 7770 

 SPECS Of what I have 


Mobo- Msi-FM2-A75MA-E35

PSU-Raidmax 500w 80+ bronze 

Case-Thermaltake commander ms-i snow

Ram- Crucial Ballistix Sport XT 1866

HDD-1tb WD black

that's the same case i have, you don't use standoffs, the board screws right to the case

and i'd reccomend the athlon + 7770

so what to do about the 2 standoffs

idk, i had no idea what they were for, they're both sitting in a baggie full of spare screws

one more thing is the GPU i was thinking about is it bad?

what do you mean bad? if you mean the 7770, no it isn't bad, but a 7790 is better for just a few dollars

So will a evga work as well ?

evga only makes nvidia cards, best would be a 650 ti boost, i don't know how it compares to a 7790 off the top of my head

edit: a 650ti boost is better than a 7790, but evga costs a bit more, for the price of an evga 650ti boost you could get a 7850, which would be a bit better

  • performance: 7790<650 ti boost< 7850
  • price: 7790<650 ti boost< 7850< evga 650 ti boost (based on quick price checks, your results may vary)

Thanx EVGA to much $$$ looking for something cheap that will give me good FPS but for under $120
