I am making the transition to pc gaming. these are the specs for the build. Not looking for insane performance. There is always room for improvement. If you have any suggestions let me know. I am looking to keep the build price around $800.
Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core
MSI Z87-G45 Gaming ATX LGA1150
Mushkin Redline 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866
MSI GeForce GTX 760 2GB
Apevia X-Plorer2 Black/Red ATX Mid Tower
Rosewill 750W ATX12V / EPS12V
Not sold on the optical since i will use steam mostly so a cheap one will be fine. Also i am getting a crucial m4 128 and an intel x25m 160. I am getting both for about 150 and they are brand new so i cannot complain. Also looking to keep the build black and red themed. If anyone has suggestions for improving the build let me know.
Yeah, that build looks fine.
Thanks! Been in the pc realm for a while just never had the opportunity to build a decent machine. Much appreciated.
I've got an MSI 760 Gaming Edition, works very well and overclocks like a beast, I would highly recommend.

That ocz power supply will look great. By chance do you know if there is a higher wat version of the red? I can look it up buy just curious if you knew off the top of your head. I am going to try everything stock and then explore the possibility of pushing this chip as close to 4Ghz as i can.
550W is plenty for a single gpu configuration with that card. PLENTY. You could overclock both the GPU and CPU and have wattage left over.
I can vouch for the XFX 550W. I have it in my own system. It's a rebranded Seasonic. Cheap, cool, quiet PSU.
Awesome thanks i will look into it.
