trying to stay under $1400 already got case from friend and i plan on overclocking some.

i would lower to a 600W supply (or a 750W if you crossfiring) other than that i looks good

I don't think you should go with the h100i, not that it is bad but this is your first computer do you think you are going to go crazy at overclocking? I agree drop the PSU to 750W, and my last question is 7870 the GHz edition?

I would lower the PSU to around 600w, and I would also change the motherboard to an Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0, as it's nearly just as good as the Crosshair V in terms of OCing stability, but is quite a bit cheaper. With that, you should be able to upgrade your GPU to a 7970, which will give you much better in-game performance over the 7870.

Other than that, the build looks great!

LooksLooks good man nice build. mootof of room on that psu for another videp card

Yea im not going to buy the h100i off the back just an upgrade for the future . I already got the psu ,i thought about switching to the sabretooth 990fx 2.0 but i really like the Asus crosshair v formula-z am3 +amd 990fx it matches with the color theme im using and its a beast i might just squeeze a little more money out of my pocket and by the XFX Double D  Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition 3GB  or SAPPHIRE Vapor-X Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition 3GB $429 xfx $439 saphire what do you all think .

O.o <---- Me not understanding why people are suggesting he go with a worse cooler because he's never overclocked before.

Overclocking isn't exactly hard to do. It just takes time, and it's not hard to learn. Just look up an overclocking guide for your particular motherboard, and  you should get the hang of it pretty quick.

Only dumbasses suggest to get worse parts.
