What's up everbody im trying to make the transition to pc gaming, but i dont know what parts to get because there's just so many options out there. My budget is 1,500Dollars, basically ill be playing BF3 and i would like to run it at the highest settings while being able to record at the same time. I would also be doing video editing. If its necessary im willing to up to 2000,but i would like to keep it at 1,500.
Go look at Logans 1300 dollar build, (the newest one not the old one) and upgrade from there. A few pointers, i7 vs. i5 gaming performance is not that different. Recording with fraps or similar sucks (well not really but it will tank your performance) unless your PC is REALLY beast, so a capture card like the Avermedia Live Gamer is great as it does on board rendering. And GET AN SSD you can easily fit one in with your budget. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT CHEAP OUT ON YOUR SSD. Go with a well known brand and search up reviews on all your parts. And don't go with the Samsung 840 series. It sucks. The 840 PRO is good, not the 840. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/teHe You don't really need all this, but everything I chose is a good high quality part. I don't know if you need an OS or not so I didn't put one in. BTW there's a high quality sound card in there. Sound cards DESTROY onboard sound and are definitely essential.
Thanks for the help and tips. I wont buy cheap parts, i know about pc's but i just need some tips because my ocd kicks in and i just want to buy all top notch stuff that i dont really need for what i need my pc to be.
first can you tell me what you need such as keyboard moniter.. etc and then i will be able to put the build togeather for you
personnaly i have never heard anyone recomend a sound card?
so i put this together http://pcpartpicker.com/p/tfrO
have a mess around with it if you want
also i dont like that keyboard but its mechanical if you do change it get a mechanical keyboard with either cherry MX blacks or cherry MX reds
Keyboard-razor blackwidow
mouse-CM Storm Sentinel Advance II
monito-BenQXL2420T
you have the mouse keyboard and moniter already or thats what you want ?
already have them
oh ok well this will be a great build http://pcpartpicker.com/p/tfNW
these are great builds man, just one question will the 8gb of ram cut it for doing video editing or should i bump it up to 16 gigs of ram
it depends on what your editing if your going to be light editing for youtube then it should be fine but if your doing more intensive editing i recommend 16gb
also if you want you could get 16gb anyway just to reasure yourself that you have enough
if you do u want to either get 4x4modules or 2x8modules i would go for the 2x8 since there is then room for upgrade in the future
also do you edit with adobe because if you do that can affect the choice you make on the gpu since gtx cards use cuda so are more suited to adobe
if you do ill get the same build up for you but with the gtx gpu however i dont think that that board is sli capable so you might not be able to have 2 cards but ill check when you give the answer :P
i do most of my eidting on sony vegas pro and ya most of my editing will go to youtube
ok then that build should be fine but u can up that ram to 16gb it wont hurt any one:) lol
glad i could help
Then you should go with the dual 7950's as reccomended in the second build.
well thanks guys for helping me out on the buid, actually learn a lot from (that kid)
im here to help
