First build Win 10 doesn't recognise HDD

Hello there. I have a brand new € 1000,- PC with a 250 GB SSD and a 1000 GB HDD. I installed Windows 10 on my SSD and tried to let steam download all my games to the HDD, but the installation clouldn't find the HDD. When I installed Win 10 I could choose the HDD.

I'm a former console peasent and am happy to take the best parts of both sides!

Can you see it in disk management?

Right Click "This PC", then click "Manage".

If it's a new disk, you may need to create a new volume / format etc before you can use it in Windows.

Yes. Here I followed a few steps and created the partition. Thanks a lot!

You need to open Disk Management (Right click "This PC" and click "Manage") and look under Storage for your other HDD / SSD. Here you can make a new partition with the size you want it to be.

Glad I could help you! :)
