Hey all.
I was planning on building my first gaming pc probably about 8 months ago, but then circumstances happened and I had to spend the money on other things. Not the point.
The parts I had were:

Changed to:

I want to spend £1000 give or take, and probably won't be buying until November. See what I can get cheaper in the Black Firday sales.
I will buy case, monitor, keyboard, mouse, headphones seperately also. Probably got a £6-700 budget for that. Was thinking on that lovely 39" Korean Monitor and the NZXT H440, but that's all so far.
I would like it to be as future proof as possible. So any suggestions on anything to change would be helpful. Thanks
Your list is £1200 so are you spending £1000 or £1200? if you are not buying antill November then everything will change again just wait antill you are ready then worry about what you are going to get.

I've found the gpu for a bit less not from pcpartpicker... So the build will be around £1080. That's why I said "Give or take" :)
I kinda just want to have a list so I can look for the best deals on the day and buy them as I find them.
Anyway, how does my list look?
Noctua eh
Ooooohhh fancy, some may only dream....
Nice 1200 pound build realy.
Anyone think there's anything I should switch up? I'm really not experienced with putting components together..
according to this build you made.

its rock sollid, i dont see anything you should change about it.
THe only thing you miss, is a case.
Ok, thanks a lot. Now I'll just have to look up about the peripherals :)
Assuming your total budget for everything (Peripherals and Monitor included) is £2,000, I took the liberty of doing the full list for you:

Tell me what y'all think.
This PC will run most games at 1080p well over 70FPS. And it will be good for even over clocking, plus, the Corsair case looks so nice! Maybe swap the RAM for something Corsair if you're feeling as brand loyal as I am though :P
Thanks for your input. I was wondering why you'd change the GPU to the MSI? Is it just inkeeping with the motherboard?
Also I'm probably going to go for the A399U monitor and the Define R5 case.
Good choice on the case, it would have been my second choice. Personally not keen on 4k displays but that's because I'm happy with 1920x1080.
The MSI is more of an aesthetic choice. Just really like red/black themed builds (Even though mine is black and blue). It often helps to keep things as one brand, makes any driver searching/updating ever so slightly easier, and performance differences are usually not that important at certain levels.
Just out of curiosity, what is the build for? If it's gaming, the 980ti will easily go 4k, but you'll get more lifetime with a 1080p, but again, this is me silly reasons for nit picking and just something I'm thinking of if it were me.
Yeah I guess case is just personal choice. I like the ultra minimalist look of the R5.
Ah yeah, I didn't think about the driver situation... And could always just airbrush it to suit your theme, if that's something you want to go for?
Yeah I'm just going to be using it for gaming and maybe a little bit of media. I can still use the monitor at 1080p, which I will probably do. I just love the size and the value for money and if I ever get another 980 I'll prob start using it in 4k (probably not oing to happen though haha).
The only thing I'll say, if you want a smoother game play experience, yet have excellent work flow (I'm assuming the media is something color based) then a G Sync IPS panel really wouldn't be a bad idea.
As for aesthetic, it's entirely up to you, just sharing my two cents on your budget as all.
Both the MSI and EVGA card are excellent performers and both are just as good at over clocking. The only thing that gives the MSI the advantage is red and black as apposed to just black (All down to personal choices though) and 0db works on MSI, not sure about EVGA (Can someone confirm?). But the EVGA runs slightly cooler, giving a ever so slightly better edge for over clocking.
