First Build Feedback/Tips?

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/CpLk

So I decided that it was time to finally save for my first build and I believe that feedback from the pros here would be very much appreciated!
I would like to keep the build around or under (if possible) 1500 USD for now.

I would basically be using it for editing and rendering (Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere, etc) but would also like to be able to play games at 1080p preferably at their highest settings; of course, if it's possible.

I'm not very sure on the 7970 yet, reviews and benchmarks suggest that it's a great card for the price and in some cases rivals or beats the GTX 680, however, I read that CUDA cores are a big plus for Adobe's programs. But if I had to go nVidia I believe I would have to step down to a 670 because of the price, or should I save more for the 680?

Would there be too much of a gap between the 670 and the 7970?

Also, I tried to chose the parts that are available to pick up in stores where I live because ordering online is pretty much out of the question for me.

 Thanks!

I made some changes: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Cq9d

And yes, CUDA would help with video rendering and a lot of Adobe programs. If you're going to be using Adobe programs or are going to be rendering a lot, then you will probably want to go with an Nvidia card. The 7970 is better for gaming, but the 670 is better for work that uses CUDA. If you can swing the extra cash, then get the GTX 680, but the GTX 670 is still a nice card. It won't perform as well as the 7970 in games, but it won't be that large of a performance loss.

Also,  you don't need the 750 watt psu unless you're planning to crossfire or sli in the future. You could get away with a 650 watt or even a 550 watt.

Hi!

gee thanks for the feedback! that MOBO is really neat!

In the end I might get the 670, read that it happens to be a decent overclocker and that it gets really close to the 680

I also lowered the PSU to a 600W one so up until now there's this http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Cwoy

im just not really sure about the Memory because it's hard to get here, they don't seem to like Memory But I'll look around, thanks!

Hmm...I don't like that power supply because it has two separate 12V rails. I would go with this instead: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-power-supply-cmpsu650txv2

Id get a Deiiferent SSD, the 840 Pro is absolutley beeling edge fast but unless your doing a lot with it or really needd it id get a Kingston Hyper x3k or Adata SX 900 or a Crucial M4 as you wont really notice the speed difference and it will save you a fewe bucks.

The Gap for gaiming between the GTX 670 and 7970 is pretty big but If you need CUDA get the 670

Huh? You'd only be saving about $25. Why not get the bleeding edge tech for $25 more?

Why not just get Sabertooth instead of ASROCK ? Its not a big $$ to add for a better mobo and If your OCing better go for Sabertooth

Sounds promising, I am thinking about overclocking. Do you have any suggestions?

I chose an A-Data SX900 and an ASUS GTX670 dunno why it changed it those o . O

anyways here's what I go so far :p

The Asrock Z77 Extreme4 is fine at overclocking. What do you mean "Why not"? it's $120 more.

Ok! Wow thanks, really, for all this help!

I don't think my budget will allow 120 more over the mobo.

Thanks for the info! :D
