What a rig you have listed, that will be a serious gaming system definitely! One thing i would recomend is getting a XFX550Pro power supply in place of the CX500, it has more amps on the 12v rail, 5 year warranty and for only $5 more then the CX500 it is a proper bargain.

For the price of the HD7950, you can also look at a GTX660Ti, they both trade blows with each other and share the same price range. Here is a bench of how they both do in games at various resolutions: http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/550?vs=647

Id trade the 2500k for a 3570k if your using a Z77 Chipset.

If you plan on ocing get an asus motherboard!

Yeah 3570k and Asus Z77.

Get the D3H rather than the D3SH because it is more stable. Also, get some Corsair memory. It has a lifetime warranty.

I changed some of your parts to get a larger psu and a 7970 gpu. i also found a good 23" monitor

$1132.36 and you might consider going with windos 8 pro or win 7 pro  because you will be able to use more than 16gb of ram. win7 home locks you down to 16gb of ram. also win 8 64bit(reg)

ps i built my friend a 2600k with the 7970gpu in this case and MB. he has his rig @4.6ghz on air. he also has a realy good heatsink tho.

the 7900 series from amd will get you $150 worth of free games
