First budget gaming PC $400-500

I live in the US
Im going to use this for gaming and some school work
I dont have a monitor, if you have any suggestions that are around the 100 mark that'd be great. Preferably 1080p and 60hz.
I want to play games no less than 1080p and around 60fps
And I don't plan on any overclocking

Do you allredy have the video card because it's not added to your price (that will be around a extra $180 on your budget)

Well, BenQ has some great low-budget monitors!
The only thing I don't really like about the build is the SSD, I'd rather go for a 120GB one or 240GB, but ofc, it will be a bit more expensive.
Other than that, it seems like a pretty solid bugdet build!

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/rLYTTW removed the ssd and chose a different card.

You might want to also go with an after market cooler like the hyper 212 evo I don't know how well the stock cooler will cool the 6350.

the 8350's stock cooler worked just fine if I didn't overclock my cpu, so I think it will work just fine. Tho, if it runs hot, you could A. underclock or B. buy an aftermarket cooler.

Ya I just thought the AMD FX 6350 was the factory overclocked version of the AMD FX 6300 so it might run hot. But testing it first probably would be better

Coopermans build seems better, so I'd go for that instead, the athlon cpus are good, so I'd stick with that one.

hybrid sshd so no need for ssd, a bit more but $ but much beter mobo, processor and ram...and a pretty windowed case to show it off :)

I'd also recommend one of these monitors

Im mostly going to play FPS and lots of CS:GO

Hey
It's a good build you made but I beefed it up a bit for like 25$ more and it will absolutely reck CS:GO ;)
(bigger monitor, better FPS mouse, more powerful gpu, faster hdd, stronger psu, faster memory)

Honestly both rigs are good for CS:GO and will do perfectly fine in it. Depending on how much you plan on installing, you could opt for an SSD and enjoy whatever that gives you.

Both rigs will handle other FPS games fine, on med to high settings.

why do I need a more powerful power supply if I only need a maximum of around 450w?

They will, but its only 25$ more for a significant upgrade
I already put an sshd hybrid so no need, better price/performance

you dont, but it was actually cheaper than the 550W one

I would have also put the Asus A88XM-Plus mobo as its the only one that has a vrm heatsink(for overclocking) at the same price but it seems to be out of stock. If you happen to find it go for that

I don't plan on overclocking but if I do ever decide on doing it will the mobo you gave me be able to handle it?

Not rly, not safe to overclock without vrm heatsinks, neither the Asus or AsRock have them.
BUT this one is in stock and does, 4$ difference bringing it up to 30$. And down the line its capable of crossfire if needed

Go with this, much better than all of the above, sry for the edits

It's pkay. Thank you very much.I will be ordering all the parts tomorrow

My advice

-Get an i3, it's the best price/performance for gaming.

-Get a cheap version of windows from Reddit.

-Get one of the AMD R9 cards that are cheap. Maybe an R9 270.
