I have Facebook IP blocked on this computer & have never visited the site on it at all.
I loaded up Firefox this afternoon & Facebook has randomly appeared on my ‘Top sites’ tab. Clicking the link brings up the ‘server not found’ page as expected.
How does that happen? Is it that invasive that the blocked Facebook adds showing up on other sites counts?
Firefox takes ad money to place sites in suggested top if you don’t disable that feature IIRC.
That or it’s picking up share buttons or something
Pretty much that. You can disable the new “improved experience” when you’re on the new tab, top right there’s a settings menu.
switch to waterfox
runs faster and uses less ram cuz it doesnt have trackers or paid ads
