so im building a gaming pc for my friend with the fx-8350. i want to go with a 970 si i can put more money in to the graphics card. but the 970s have 2400MHz Hyper Transport (4800 MT/s) and the 990s have 2600MHz Hyper Transport (5200 MT/s). i dont understand hyper transport very well so explaining it would be nice. i know it has to do with the north and south bridge communicating but thats it. does it make a difference in games?
go for the 8320 and save a little and get a 990 then overclock the cpu
I've considered that too, but my main question is about the hyper transport
