Before I buy this rig I would like to make sure that there is no compatibilty problems between all of the hardware components :)

Think you're pretty bang on with your choices. I would swap the MSI motherboard for either an ASUS or Gigabyte.

Fan looks tall, i'd check for clearance issues with the case. Case is 19 cm deep, fan is 13.5. Once adding in the stand offs, another cm or 2 of space so it doesnt touch the case, and the socket brackets I can't tell you for certain.

what do you think of the asrock 970 extreme3 board? :P

I have checked on the internet, and people with this fan and case seem to not have problems :P

Decided to use the asus M5A97 R2.0 board instead :P
