Corsair Vengeance are very good RAM modules for Intel chips, for AMD pick between Kingston Beast or Gskill Ripjaw.
I want to tell you to at least get a 650 Watt... but I guess a 550 won't hurt :P
Totally solid - if you can stretch now or later add a SSD something like a Samsung 840 256GB
He has more than enough wattage in there for another 7950. 650W is pointless.
Is an SSD just extra storage? Does it have any other purpose?
SSDs are just fast. That's all they provide, aside from additional reliability, durability, etc., which in most consumer situations, and desktops, isn't a key selling point.
Don't get the Vengeance RAM, Not very many CPU-Heatsinks will fit over it.
Source: I had this problem myself.
So just change the memory? Alright sounds good
