Final Checks

I am just doing some finally checks before black friday/cyber monday (which is when I am going to buy my pc) and I just wanted to make sure that all these parts are compatible. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/MYQrt6 Please do tell me if you can see any compatiblity issues.

Yep it's all compatible - but that ssd sucks ass

have a look at the adata or samsung drives - about the same price

Everything should work just fine. Although I believe the Kingston SSDNow is actually rather slow for an SSD because of the type of memory it uses. Looking at Newegg you could get something like the Crucial MX100, Crucial M500, Intel 530, Samsung 840 EVO, or OCZ ARC 100 for only a little more.

Would this be a better idea for the ssd? http://www.amazon.com/dp/B009SX6VLC/?tag=pcpapi-20

Also would it be worth it to lower the cpu to a 6300 and get a 280x?

Yes on the SSD.

Yes on the 6300/280X if you're primarily gaming. If you're doing more "professional" stuff like virtualization and photo/video editing I'd actually go for the 8 core.

I will be primally gaming so that sounds like the go. Also the gpu I would get with it is this http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FSC5N66/?tag=pcpapi-20 because there are some good deals on this and the 6300 today.

Yeah stay far away from the SSDNow! drives. They use subpar flash and the firmware is bad and SandForce is generally kinda sucky. They are slow as hell and have really high failure rates. The ADATA you posted is a little better but I'd still go with the MX100 and then the 840 Evo if you want to spend a little more.

Ohh I'd get this 280X. Little cheaper, nicer cooler.

Sadly I cannot get that one because newegg does not ship to Australia most of the time.

[EDIT]: The shipping is insane even if they do.

Also the xfx card has a $30 mail in rebate so it does end up being cheaper.

That's a shame on the shipping, Sapphire makes some pretty amazing cards. Nothing wrong with XFX though.

Yeah, the joys of living in Australia.

Also should I wait until black friday to see if there are any better deals on a 280x or just buy it now?
