Final Build

Hi Guys

So I've spent a while looking for parts to build the best PC and heres what I've come up with.

CPU- AMD A10- 5800K

CPU Cooler- Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo

Motherboard- AsRock FM2A75 Pro-4

RAM- Patriot Viper 3 Black Mamba 8GB 2133Mhz

Case- Corsair 300R

PSU- XFX 550W

Wireless Card- TP-Link

So obviously theres no graphics card and thats because I want to run the processors intergrated graphics for a while until I can afford something like a 7850.

Thats also why the PSU is  complete overkill but would something like 430watts be enough to power the system with a 7850?

The Motherboard has already been bought so that and the CPU will have to stay.

I was wondering if I needed such high speed RAMbecause I know that the APU benefits from it but could I not just overclock slower RAM to that speed because my motherboard says its supports RAM overclocking up to 2600Mhz.

I wouldnt spend anymore money than whatevers in that build so is it the best bang for my buck? I'd want to play games like DOTA 2, Tribes:Ascend and Planetside 2 and highish settings.

Thanks :)

Good sir, may i recomend you a A8-5600k instead? Here is the bench between the A10 and the A8: http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/675?vs=676 As you can see the difference in gaming between the two is very small. The A10 has more GPU horsepower but honestly i do not see a reason to get it when the A8 competes with it in games and everything else but might save you a few dollars.

Always get the ram at the speed you want if you can afford it, it is always easier to know that the ram is design for that speed then to play around and have problems pushing it.

XFX550 is a good investment, it will have plenty over for any future card upgrades and OC you will do.

I think I will go for the A8! It even outperforms the A10 on some of the benchmarks which I find strange.

How well does it overclock though?

Here : http://www.vortez.net/articles_pages/amd_a8_5600k_trinity_review,5.html These guys got one to 4.5ghz, i think you can push 4.0ghz with that 212 EVO and have it be fairly reliable.
