Final build editing

Okay so here is my build- http://pcpartpicker.com/p/jxT36h I switched out the core i7 due to my budget, will it run say Fallout 4 any differently?

My build.

The xeon is a i7 in disguise. It is a little slower, and it does not have an igpu, so the cost is cut back a lot.

You can actually overclock the chip a little using base clock.

I cut back the ram because literally all you need is the cheapest decent quality 8GB kit you can buy.

I upgraded the board to an extreme 4. The extreme 3 is kind of anemic. I would actually go with an asus z97-ar though. I know for a fact that you can overclock the 1231 on the ar board.

The cooler is the hyper 212. Its cheap, it cools extremely well, and it is probably gonna last longer than that corsair unit.

The case is also a cheaper source 210. IMO its actually a really nice case to build in and it saves you a good amount of money.

The PSU is also a LOT better. You should really try to avoid cheap corsair PSUs if you can help it. They are good enough to get you by in a pinch, but you should always try to aim for a good 80+ gold unit if you can.

And lastly the GPU is pretty much the same. Its literally 0.02 ghz slower which will make absolutely 0 difference in game. And its 20 bucks less. Sooooooo there you go.

With the money I saved you, you could jump up to a GTX 980 which is good for another 10 fps. This will make 1440p gaming a little bit smoother and makes 4K gaming a potential.

So here is my build- http://pcpartpicker.com/p/XhghWZ and I don't really think I need 750W to power it but I don't know which 650W power supply I need please help. Is the 750W already good as it is?

You could probably get away with a 450 watt if you so desired (and didn't want to upgrade ever).

Anyways, in my opinion, a Gold rated power supply by a reputable company (Corsair, Seasonic, EVGA, etc) is usually perfectly fine. 80+ Bronze is adequate as well, but Gold usually isn't all that much more expensive.

Anyways, the best deal right now is the EVGA Supernova I believe.

No, you don't need a 750W power supply. Or a 650W. Buy a quality power supply instead.

That kind of a system is not gonna pull more than ~225-250W from the wall. That's without taking power supply inefficiency into account..
For example the Supernova G2's from EVGA are really nice and quiet.
Here's the 550W model.

Techpowerup hasn't reviewed the 550 G2 but here's their 650 G2 review.

Thanks guys

I really need help on choosing between the Core i5 or the Intel Xeon can you give me pros and cons and your opinion on what I should get. Here is the build- http://pcpartpicker.com/p/fdVyJx
(I want to be able to play GTAV, Fallout 4, Minecraft, Warframe, and CSGO)

I don´t see a reason to get a Xeon in your case.

If you play mainaly games, then there is not realy a reason to grab a xeon.

Xeon pro´s, 4 cores 8 threads.
Con´s: not overclockable, no igpu with some models.

I just don't know if the Xeon is better or the same as the i5

Thanks so core i5 it is then

Basicly yes, if you dont do anything like video editing or what not.
Then the i5 would basicly be fine for most games.

I will be doing editing but nothing too serious

Yeah, if it's primarily gaming an i5 will be perfectly fine and will save a couple bucks compared to a Xeon.

I merged everything about your build questions into one central topic.
It better and easier for yourself to keep questions about your upcomming build in to one central topic.
It also makes it easier for everyone to to keep up with.

Here is my build- http://pcpartpicker.com/p/VKm6YJ I was wondering if the processor in this build is worth coughing up a little bit more money. Or should I just stick with the I5 4690k. (Please just a simple answer please no recommendations, I just want to know)

Depends, if you just want to game the i5 would be perfect however if you want to do some video editing or the like the i7 would be worth the extra cash

Like Hen_Ree said, it really does depend on what ou are using it for, but if you were going to cough up the extra $$ and get the i7, i would get the unlocked version, especially with the H60 giving you a decent amount of OC headroom, at least up to 4.2Ghz

Thanks. But how would my gaming expirience be of I did switch like say how would it run fallout 4

You would have more stability in games I think I read somewhere that an i7 reduces the fluctuations in games but don't quote me on that. I have an i7 for games and I don't regret it.
