File Server to use for Owncloud

So I have an end goal of setting up Owncloud.  The main issue I have is that the little Microserver I want to use does't have the horsepower to do FreeNAS.  Looking at the Owncloud website, there appears to be some simple instructions for using CentOS (Not heard or before), Debian, Fedora, openSUSE, RHEL, SLE or Ubuntu.  Ubuntu isn't an option, I don't like what I hear about it.  Thinking either Fedora or Red Hat.  Thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

Darm

Have a look at SME Server

CentOS is the free version of RHEL

I would go for Debian to be honest for Owncloud. It's not a very technical application, so you basically only need the security updates, which are easy to follow up upon in Debian, but you don't need any of the high tech stuff that you need RPM based distros for. But any distro will work, it will even work in a virtual container on any linux box, it's not a resource heavy server application.

Thanks for the input.  I was leaning Debian because I know it slightly more than the rest, which is to say that I have downloaded it and played with it once, when I haven't touched any of the others.  Debian, from everything I read, also seems pretty solid, stable, reliable, and user friendly for newcomers.  I'll have to share how things turn out, thanks!
