Few quick questions on litecoin

So im looking at getting into litecoin. First is it still profitable to mine with GPUs? Second, if i were to buy a miner, like http://www.amazon.com/ASICMiner-Block-Erupter-USB-Sapphire/dp/B00CUJT7TO/ref=lh_ni_t?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=AIGLW844G4V0D this one, what can i expect for efficiency or are these ones specifically for bitcoin (power cost about 0.11 USD per KWH), and third what is the measurement of a kilo hash to a mega hash, as i did 1 to 1000 and im getting crazy numbers so....ya. Thanks HF.

Those miners are for bitcoin not litecoin. 1Mhash is equal to 1000Khashes. :)

Is GPU mining still profitable? it depends on what you have right now.
I don't have to pay electricity, I have my hardware, and the markets have been good the past month thus I have made a small profit, and had fun doing it.

Bitcoin uses a different hashing algorithm, common hash rates for bitcoin mining will be larger than common litecoin hash rates.

My gigabyte hd 7970 at 1080/1500 overclocks acheives a happy 700kH/s.

Playing day trader with my virtually created currency has been fun. The prospect of actually buying wares with my coins, even more so.

to bad im not in college and had a working 280x as i had to send mine back and they didnt send me a new one -_- they just refunded it....
