Fedora 29 and Windows gaming VM with threadripper

Hi guys

I’m building my new rig right with a 2950x, 64gb of ram 2 gpu rx570 and rx590 and I’d like to run Fedora as my main os and run a Windows gaming VM machine.
I’m currently contemplating 2 options :

1 : running unraid
2 : running baremetal fedora 29 WITH A GPU + keyboard and mousse passthrough to a windows 10 vm.

Does any of you have any imput or advice?

the fedora install will mostly be used for other video and photo editing, virtualisation, programming…

Is the option 1 just running unraid na doing GPU pass-through to both Fedora and Windows? Seems like a weird choice to avoid configuring Fedora 29 for pass-through.

Yeah after some tries I decided against unraid . I just finish configuring the computer with fedora as the main OS and I’m going for a windows vm with passthrgough I’m actually doing some research on that right now if you’ve got any pointers they’ll be more than welcome.

If you are going to use F29 and NVIDIA, most guides do not mention a way to solve Error 43:
<kvm>
<hidden state=‘on’/>
</kvm>

Otherwise I did it in F29 in about 4 hours including some tests and problems with error 43.

I’ve got 2 amd gpu 570 and 590
