Nothing beats microbrewery. Golden Export from Gordon Biersch. Food is whatever, beer is made on location. Best light beer I've had.

I homebrew my beer, I brew different kinds every week and after a month I have great beer I made. I control body, flavor, and head for better beer than any store bought and I have more control than getting it from a microbrewery.

At the moment, it's a toss up between a Moa Imperial Stout and Deep Creek Basilica (Chocolate Porter). Both dark, rich, and amazing.

I'm 15. I can buy some drinks with 2% alcohol or something like that but when it comes to beer I sometimes drink non-alcohol carlsberg.

Smithwicks is fantastic; on the more expensive side, Westvleteren XII is probably the best I have ever had. I prefer dark(er) beers, but I don't drinkt them too much. I don't have a huge beer vocabulary.

My favourite by far here in Switzerland:

I don't have one favorite so here is my top 4:

I have tried but a handfull of craft beers. Some from Stone one from Underworld some from Delerium and some really rare stuff thats $50 a growler, and so far my favorite is the delirum nocturnum, keep in mind its from a very short list of beers. 03:45:01

Oh come on now, guys.

Although to be fair, Stone is batting a 90% approval rating from me.

I'm 17 can't legally drink Beer, YET! But here is my Favorite COLA, Curiosity Cola. It's Organic and have a Natural cola taste, It contains 0.5% Alcohol as because of it being Botanically Brewed. I highly reccomend this

Muskoka Brewery's Mad Tom IPA:

Chimay Red Cap:

Also, a whole wack of Quebec micro-brews. Some other good IPAs are out there from Flying Monkey Breweries, Stone Brewing Co., and a lot of brew pubs and microbrews out of Ottawa and Quebec.

Some of the best beers I've had were at festibiere de gatineau (a beer festival in quebec)--if only I was sober enough to write down the ones I liked :(

Thinking about brewing my own--any tips Dinkman27?

I've done some research already and looked into some tips, but any words of wisdom/thinks to avoid doing or things to make sure I do?

EDIT: Also, if you're ever in Ottawa, my favourite session pub: http://www.pubitalia.ca/beer.html

Massive beer menu. I love it.

to be honest, I really love Guiness from the tab. But overall my favourite beer is Unertl Weißbier here from Bayern. I live soth of Franfurt, GER where we have the biggest beer-store in the world and I have tried a lot of beers from every country.

The Belgians make a lot of good beer, but I like the simpler stuff and Unertl has the roundest, most harmnic taste. Also one of our local pubs makes a damn good Weißbier. I think there are about 15 breweries within 15km of where I live :P

There are a lot of really great beers out there. The kind of beer I like seems to really come down to the mood that I am in.

Innis and Gunn http://www.innisandgunn.com/ - make some insanely flavorful beers. I have had their Original, Blond, Rum Cask, and Spiced Rum Finish. All really good. Definitely the kind of beer you sip slowly and enjoy.

Hopcity http://www.hopcity.com/ - These guys make some really good tasting beers as well. I just recently tried 8th Sin and it was delicious. It is a Black Lager. I was very impressed with it. I was sort of expecting it to be like a stout, but it didn't have that harsh taste. Barking Squirrel and Mr Huff are also very good!

Mad Tom is fantastic. Used to work right beside the brewery. Poor Americans will neer know its Hoppy Piney Glory.

Another good one to try is Amsterdam Spring Bock or their Boneshaker IPA. Also, Mill Street Tankhouse is a nice balanced American Pale. It's easy to drink 8 or 9 of them.

I think I have to go with this:

I'm not much of a expert, but that's one of the best if not the best beer that I have drank.

It's hard to beat a nice, cool, creamy pint of smithwicks from the draft. It's not nearly as nice from the bottle or can. So if i'm drinking at home I go for stella artois.

If I'm going for a beer while I'm out, it's Guiness.  While I'm at a friends, or if I have to bring something, it's New Castle (We call them Nukes).  Though I've tried several others and they weren't bad, I generally stay towards darker beers, light beer doesn't taste good, at all, to me.  That said.. I'm more of a Whiskey (Jack Daniels or Jameson [For car bombs you see..]) person anyway.

^^^ More of a bushmills whiskey/Glendronach whiskey guy myself but Black & White is a good drinking whiskey when iam out on the town >_>
