A new show in which we talk about video games. This episode is about which trilogy we think was the greatest.
Are you pushing your own channel or something? Not that that there's anything wrong with that, but video has so few views, it's weird.
My problem with trilogies is that just about none of them end on 3. Quick Google search brought up a bunch of lists with things like Final Fantasy, Resident Evil, Metal Gear and a bunch of other stuff that I wouldn't ever put in the category.
The only legitimate trilogies, so far, that I can name are:
God of War, Mass Effect and Parasite Eve.
Mass Effect
I completely agree that it is hard to find a "legitimate" trilogy. That is one of the things we discussed for the premise of the video, and we thought it limited our selection too much. That's why we end up with so many games that are simply three in a row in a series.
And yes, I'm sharing my friend and my channel haha. This is only the 15th video we have up. It's a fun hobby and I just hope people find our videos interesting and informative.
Dead Space
I suppose Arma is technically a trilogy, right? When it comes to series though, I would have to say Fallout hands down.
What about game series? Does it have to be a trilogy (i.e. 3x games, no more, no less)?
Definitely Mass Effect.
I know it is a console game, but the first three halo games were amazing. I hate all the xbox multiplayer stuff on them, but the single player story was great.
Maybe throw more keywords in? Final Fantasy, Mass Effect, discussion, console, pc, playstation, xbox... Whatever gets mentioned or discussed.
Actually, this is a list I pulled up from a random video with 150k views:
gametrailers,game,games,videogame,gaming,juego,juegos,jogos,jeux,gameplay,video,Xbox 360,xbox360,x360,PlayStation,PlayStation3,PlayStation 3,ps3,sony,microsoft,Video Game,video game,PC,Xbox Live Arcade,XBLA,Xbox Live,PlayStation Network,PSN,Nintendo,WiiU,Nintendo Wii U,Nintendo Wii,Nintendo 3DS,Nintendo DS,Final Fantasy (Video Game Series)
Metroid Prime trilogy is the best. (Yes I'm aware MP: Hunters exists, but its more of a spinoff than anything)
zelda for sure bro
As much as I love Reach, and the multiplayer and Cortana bits from Halo 4, I feel like it should've ended with three. I don't mind the newer games (Reach is actually my favorite of the franchise), but game developers keep milking out sequels and I get that vibe from the Halo series. Stories have to end eventually, and bringing back the Chief was cheap when Halo 3 had wrapped it all up rather well.
Bioshock? I liked all 3 games, even if Infinite had some logic/game-mechanic problems and 2's story was a bit shakey to me. The first two still had great atmospheres and the third was gorgeous and narratively ambitious.
Now if only Half-Life would become a trilogy...
Oh right, how could I possibly forget that! :D
Space Quest.
Wonder how much longer it will take for Half-Life to become a trilogy. Hopefully no more than 10 years.
Mass Effect. If KOTOR 3 ever happens, that will become my new favorite. I would actually rather play through the two KOTOR games than the mass effect trilogy.
My favorite series' of all time are:
- KOTOR
- Elder Scrolls
- Mass Effect
- Halo (ew... gross right?)
- The Witcher (and if the 3rd installment is as good as it seems it will be, I may have a new #1/2)
999. Call of Duty
If you haven't noticed, I'm a fan of story driven games. And while TES games don't have the best stories, the level of freedom I am given plus the ability to mod their games adds a tremendous amount of value to me.
with halo they arent really milking out the franchise. there have been a ton of books written about the universe of halo and they are kinda adapting games to it
Half life
