Fatal wd drive issue?

Does anyone have any experience with any of this company or enclosure?

Ok, but you need it to be network attached? - if you only want it for one machine I would say get ONE external HDD ^^ i just bought a 4TB one to backup my 5 drives NAS XD

No sorry, dont need network attachment :)

yeah im looking at the WD elements 5tb, just worried about what drive they use ?

WD uses WD drives; usually inside the premade external enclosures I expect a Green drive

hmmm, green drives aren't that great...

Dont they have really slow wake times?

Not to my experience; I have a view of them in my rig (back when 1TB was the best) and they still run like charm;

Or better say blue; It seems the greens are gone ... my fault; than I would expect a blue to be inside the black plastic;

Ah okay thanks, yeah blues are pretty dam good, Personally Blacks aren't really worth the extra over blue

I think I will Get 2 5tb models and manually RAID duplicate them ;)

Thanks for your help

Haha manual raid.. that sounds like backup ^^

Hahah ;D

Oh well, that's unfortunate and I get what you mean. At least if you buy something pre-made you get warranty and, mostly, an hassle-free experience.
