I am 16, living in a somewhat small, rural village. There are only 2 ISP's available here: Verizon and Time Warner Cable. I have Verizon, which is... okay... On a good day with great conditions(clear weather, no one else using the internet) I can get upwards to .5 Mbps which stinks. Downloading games takes eons with Steam, and updating takes even longer. I understand that because I live in a small village, these ISP's don't care about us, and figure they can get more money from a larger city, which really frustrates me, I mean ffs. So, my question is, what can I do to change this? I mean legislatively or something. It agrivates me when I have to wait 10 hours+ to download a 20GB game(which are almost all of the big brand games). All I ask for is faster internet, and from what I have heard on various Tek Syndicate videos, it isn't difficult for ISP's to actually adjust their infrastructure, it is just "expensive".
I look forward to a response,
