DNxHR and DNxHD seem to be the fastest on Windows without relying on a third party library. ProRes is a mess on Windows because it’s so unoptimized.

But good to know that Premiere staggers in-timeline effects, which means anything with more complex effects need to be offloaded to After Effects.

One curiosity though is how the audio pipeline works vs Audition, because audio effects can be partially done in real-time, but when complex effects come into play, it’s mandatory for Premiere to pre-render the effect or else it can’t reproduce it.
