Okay, so I have a legitimate copy of FarCry 4 on Steam, and I do have a Uplay account and the Uplay software installed and up-to-date. But for the life of me, I don't know why it won't run, I click play in Steam, it tries to run or it does run for a short time. Then nothing, and if I click play and copy the registration key to my clipboard and try that in Uplay to activate a game, that doesn't exactly work either.
Any ideas what's going on here? I was able to play and complete FarCry 3 through Steam and it worked fine with Uplay, although this was a while ago, it still worked. I don't know what's happening and I've also validated the files in Steam, twice now. Any ideas at all?
No, I can't, I also can't see FarCry 3, even though, it was the last game I played in Uplay, and it does say the achievements in the right hand column, but it does not appear when I click on the "Games" tab.
I have tried that too, doesn't seem to work, I'm wondering if there was a glitch when downloading it or maybe a couple of the files are corrupt, but I'll look more into this Uplay issue, simply because FarCry 3 should still appear under my games in Uplay.
But 125 KB/s = 1 Mb/s, I don't even get that, it's depressing, on avg, I don't even get 100 KB/s. Everything has a hard time loading for me, but at least we can relate, I know the pain, I know the pain, I literally can't play on-line games.... For a guy that loves MMORGP's, that sucks so much, why can't I have fibre.
whatever i can get at school and with filters on everything its very diffacult to do anything usefull. but hacked m macbook to get the wireless password so i can get on tek syndicate on my personal machine.
Look for the game application were its downloaded at the Uplay folder or such and see if you can lunch it from that. Not 100% if you can do that with Uplay i don't use it just trying to help.
and here is where the age old saying pirate that shit because fuck DRM come in handy. but on a serious note look for the steam crack and try your luck. you own the damn thing just should not have to jump through hoops to play your own game
DRM It is annoying, but luckily, I was able to finally get it to run without any issues, Uplay had some corrupt files to be fair, I went looking into a lot of the files, luckily I have Uplay on my laptop too, save me downloading the files for Uplay again. Long story short, Uplay couldn't interact with Steam at all, but now it works fine, I found it pretty odd how that just randomly happened, but I guess with corruption, it can happen for all sorts of reasons.
Additionally thanks for the advice guys: @Dje4321 @cannibal @looming_hawk
