Far Cry 3 Issues

Hi,

When playing the computer crashes to black screen then restarts after about 10 minutes of play. I have played about 15 hours before this started happening. I have deep cleaned any dust off (wasn't that bad to start off). I don't think my computer is overheating because I was watching the temperature of the CPU which was just over 45 C, the Motherboard was 60 C and the GPU was around 48 C. I did try changing the setting from DirectX 11 to 9 and lowered all the other settings. This didn't help. I had changed my power setting to Higher Performance recently but now changed it back to balanced. Didn't help. I checked to make sure my driver are up to date and they are. The only other change I made was I added an optical drive that I doubt would make a difference.

The other games I have install currently work fine although they are a bit older so don't require as much computing power. I just played Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit for an hour right after the most recent crash so it seem to only be Far Cry 3 causing the problem.

Thanks for any Help

First http://www.resplendence.com/whocrashed might help you figure out what crashed it.

Secondly and I can't see this being the problem but what's your PSU?

I always had trouble with Far Cry 3. I tried every single fix in the book and it still ran like crap. Im not sure what I did to fix it as it was a long time ago. Just a tip, Far Cry 4 runs great on PC as long as you have the latest GPU drivers.

Your psu might not have enough watts to run your pc at 100%, your mobo also seems to run rather hot
