Hi would these fans provide adequate cooling for a workstation/gaming with slighty overclocked parts?

I used the came Cougar fans (except mine were 120mm fans) for the front of my air 540 for quite a while. I found them to be sufficient. I changed them out for some corsair SP-120 purple LED fans.

They should work, although it depends on what actual cooler you are using.

My heatsink will be a noctua nhu-14s and i will be using 4 of these 140mm cougar fans.

That should be more than sufficient. That's the same air cooler I bought to replace my hyper 212. I ended up removing the fan that came with it for two normal noctua 140mm fans because the fan that came with it made a really annoying buzzing noice. I could have gone to noctua for a replacement I'm sure, but by then I had switched to an AIO water cooler so there was no point.

This fan: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835608036 was the one that made the buzzing noise. I tried adjusting the speed, putting it in push, pull, and tried it with push-pull and it still made a terribly annoying noise. Although I probably got a random defective fan, which is probably extremely rare for Noctua fans.

That air cooler works great, but the way the fans mount is quite annoying. I actually ended up bending a few fins in the process of putting my fans on, but it probably wasn't meant to accept the full size 140's

im using like 12 COUGAR hydro dynamic fans in my pc and on its radiators,
even at 100% they are pretty damned quiet.

its multiplayer as hell

that whole team of 16 guys got freakin wrecked btw, as the game scales with number of players.

and the difficulty doesn't just change the health of the baddies.
instead it gives them new ai and different movements and attacks

they have full plexiglass side panels for it.
one dude even modded his to have some crazy ass like 400 mm fan or something
