Your thread, 13 cups of coffee and a 26 hour day.
I'll get around to doing a "how to" on how to break down these older style fan to do a thorough cleaning, say if a fan is gummed up from dust.
That is if anyone wants to see that?

Useful advice for all the AMD owners out there, since running fans at 100% constantly will wear them out.

Nah I'm just joking, I'm an AMD guy myself.

If we travel back in time to the days of 386s and 486s both AMD and Intel used their mighty 40mm or 50mm fan at full tit but that was only if you wanted to put on a fan let alone a heat sink.
If you had some way of controlling the fan speed on the fly back then you were some type of voodoo wizard.
