Fan splitter off of motherboard header

Hey guys,

 

Is it ok to use a fan splitter on the header on a motherboard to split it up to like 4 ways... or at least 2 on 2 different headers...or should I split from the molex connectors..

2 on 2 different headers should be fine as long as they are not both Delta fans :). I double up on normal fans all the time and have never had an issue. I would not do 4 on one header though. Depending on the fans, it could be too much wattage.

I would not go above 4 fans as you will blow the regulator. If they are the 4 pin connector type then you can go much higher as the fan have built in speed controllers and the MB just sends a signal via the forth pin.
