Fallout 4... where are you

so a little while ago i was replaying fallout 3 and fallout new vegas what  had gotton me diving back into one of my   favourite game series was buying the point lookout and broken steel add on from a friend of mine. I loved being back in both the capital and mojave wasteland. Adventuring for hours on end until I realized the sun had dissapeared and i had to go to school in 4 hours. Being sure to search every single person that i had impaled with my shishkibab for caps and loot that i could later sell to moria brown at craterside supply or gunrunners so i could finaly afford the regeneration implant! anyways last night i was trying to fall asleep while reminiscing about these games and then it came to me. how long has bethesda been working on fallout 4 for? is there a trailer? game footage? interviews? damnit now i have to know! and after almost an hour of searching i still have bearly a scrap of info about the game! the only thing ive really picked up is that there is a rumor that fallout 4 might take place in boston. boston... really?

i guess bethesda has been able to keep fallout 4 a secret while people are still obsessing ofer skyrim. all i want to know is fallout 4... where are you?

also a question about my other favorite series!  what has been your favorite elder scroll's game? i think that mine was probably oblivion. i felt that skyrim had been to dumbed down for people that had never played an rpg before and for console gamers.

thanks for your input!

Actually, Nehrim is my favorite game... it's not really TES, but it uses Oblivion as a base (it's a mod). After that, Morrowind with some mods... I also love Skyrim... but it sucked before 100 mods fixed it.

HOW COULD I HAVE FORGOTTEN ABOUT NEHRIM!?!?!?! that game was awesome. i liked morrowind but i was 10 when i first played it and i wasnt really patient. i was looking forward to skyrim. i liked it it but i was a little dissapointed. cant wait for your pc build video. love your gaming pc lists to.

thanks for your input

I love the mod that combines New Vegas and 3. It's endless hours of fun. Very excited for FO4.

Hmm yeah, Bethesda people has been seen scooping around Boston. It's a long way from where the original Fallout took place (Westcoast/California), and FYI I do not count Fallout 3 as an "original". I sure hope Bethesda has hired Obsidian for developing Fallout 4, because they did a damn good job with New Vegas.

I think it'll be cool and definately interesting for Fallout fans to play the game as another faction, which throughout the whole Fallout-series has been your toughest enemy: The Enclave. Think about it. You were born in a hidden Enclave facility ("Ground Zero" kinda concept), and you have been raised to to work as an agent in the outside world. Then it's up to you if you want to help the Enclave to gain it's power by forging alliances with the outside world (smells like Fallout Tactics & New Vegas) and recover lost technology from the Old World. OR you could find out what terrible secrets the Enclave has kept from you, and then turn your back on them. Either way, the game could end up with an epic war (Enclave vs. BoS vs. mutants vs. people of the wasteland?)

Anyways, I'm just getting tired of T51b power armors and yelling "FOR THE BROTHERHOOD" when going to battle. I would like to see something new.

Fallout is the game the immerses me like no other. First time I played NV I started...finished sometime later, then looked at my steam and it had been 12 hours. Fallout 4 may ruin my life but I want it.

Nehrim would be awesome if it didn't run like ass.

thats... actualy a really good idea! it would be kinda like growing up in the vault but more badass. i also agree with you on obsidian. i hope that they are at least helping bethesda with fallout 4. i did like new vegas a bit more than fallout 3. mostly because i felt more like i could choose what side i am on. although i hope that if obsidian is developing fallout 4 then it wont be to buggy. some of obsidians games had a lot of bugs. new vegas had a few really bad ones. but still here's hoping that we get some new power armor.

i hope that they choose a good location for fallout 4. i really liked the mojave wasteland. (sigh)

i also just had a wierd thought. what aboot canada? people from vaults could have moved north and recolonized. that would be pretty neat eh?

hehe... exactly!  im really craving fallout right now to. i guess il play through fallout 1 or 2

mmmm. indeed. but i guess we cant have everything right?

whats this? well im on my way to search for this mod. il see you guys in a week or two!

What I meant to say was Nehrim is awesome but it runs like ass. Nehrim is not a bad game/mod by any means. It just so happens to not run very good.

Well there is Operation Anchorage. Doesn't really count.

I would like to see the BoS Power Armors from FO:Tactics. They looked pretty badass.

I think Bethesda should stop making Fallout games after this one. It has been going on since the 90'ies and there is no good reason to milk the Fallout series more than needed...

i hope bethesda will see it that way. i didn't mind anchorage but i thought it felt like bethesda was trying to move it towards an fps type game until i beat it. and i hope there is some badass looking armor. i think my favorite was the tesla armor and the enclave power armor. i hope bethesda does this game well!

You can't really bring back the Enclave, and I don't really remember, but I don't think they did in FO:NV. I recently got FO3, and replayed it all again, and you can choose to destroy the Enclave, and Presedent Eden, if you have enough points in speech. Therefore, you cannot bring back the Enclave as if they were never destroyed, because it would ruin the game for the people who opted to choose that choice.

Now, I had seen a trailer, and it was just a roumer, that it was going to be based in San Fransico. The trailer was really, really early after FO:NV came out, and I was extremely excited for it, because it did look like an official trailer.

Here's the trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NpUEio_QcoI

Take what you will from it, but to me it seems legit, and seems to fit within the style of trailers that Bethesda releases. If you remember back to the FO3 trailer, they had it starting out in a post nuclar bus, with a radio playing The Rat Pack - Ain't that a kick in the head, it then zoomed out, giving you that some what creepy/interesting undertone and you saw a guy standing on a hill with Power Armour, and a lazer rifle.

While there's nothing close to that in the trailer I posted, it does somewhat feel like an official trailer.

Either way, I'm really looking forward to the game, and cannot wait to play another epic RPG, from Bethesda.

i have seen this trailer before. it's not real. a little while ago a bunch of writers for game sites posted what they thought. here is one of them.

http://www.digitaltrends.com/gaming/we-assure-you-this-is-not-a-trailer-for-fallout-4/

also fallout new vegas used aint that a kick in the head  the fallout 3 trailer used the song "i dont want to set the world on fire" by inkspots

I can't wait for a new Fallout game. Sci-fi and RPG, with TES style game just epic. Fallout 3 the only game i've spent more than 500 hours playing ha.

Ah, alright, thanks for clearing it up. It's a good knock off, though.

And you're right, that was my bad, I got confused because I had just heard the song on the TV. Both are fantastic songs, in my opinion, though.

I dislike FO 1 and 2. I dislike the over-head camera style, and opt for more of a... FP camera style. Granted I fucking loved the Zelda's and other various games on the GameBoy and GameBoy Colour (Nostalgia for me), but FO 1 and 2, just don't compare to their later brothers.

Maybe Bethesda is working with Gabe Newell, and are planning one of the most epic games ever and being really secret about it.

Its probably just crazy talk but if it happened it would be one of the best games ever.
