I recently started modding fallout 4 and turned off survival mode to make it easier to test the mods and cant find a way to turn it back on. Anyone know a way to turn it back on?
Just go to settings and then gameplay should be an option for difficulty.
After I changed it to a difficulty that wasn't survival the survival option was removed
Survival itself is a difficulty level, I don't think you play on say, normal with survival. It's all or nothing.
Yeah I know this already but I changed to a different setting and wanted to change back but it wont let me so would I need to start a new save or is there a way to reactivate it
That's strange, I've been able to go back and forth before. I'm not sure what happened with yours.

Nope its gone. Ill just start a new save I wasn't that far anyway.

I'll check my save when I get home today to see if its different for me now too. I'll let you know what I find.
Bethesda changed how Survival works and it was in beta for near a month on steam; It's pretty much survival mode and you can't change back to it on that character and have to start a new one.
only semi related to the OP topic.. should i give survival mode a try? is it good?

It is quite fun it forces you to explore more of the map with the whole no fast travel but it did get boring fast thats why I added the mods.
My two cents.
I cannot play survival without the quick save mod, I don't feel like playing dark souls, in fact I detest that sort of gameplay. It saves me the frustration of going allllllllll the way back to where I died with lost progress, so much wasted time, not fun.
Yeah that annoyed me too so I got a mod to add quicksaves to survival
