Fallout 4/Gaming $1100 PC Build

Hey guys, I'm looking to build a PC for ~$1100, that will be able to run Fallout 4 on max settings and run other games as well (the older Fallouts, GTA V, Possibly The Witcher 3). I am coming from an Xbox One/360, so while I don't think I'll fully transfer to PC as I have friends on the Xbox One, it still would be best to not have to be limited by console. A slight problem would be that currently I only have a mouse, so I will need a keyboard, monitor and an OS (Windows). As for the keyboard, although I don't expect to be going completely all out, I would still love to be able to get a mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX Red switches. That's simply preference, if it isn't doable in this build I'd understand.

I feel as though I should note that Fallout 4 will be running on an updated Creation engine. I honestly don't know if that could help, but it may be worth mentioning. Also, as for graphics, it may be worth mentioning it will go up to 4k.

I'm in the US as well, so obviously I'll be using US currency. I'd like to add an optical drive to it as well.

So that's what I'm shooting for. I just want to thank all of you guys in advance for reading and helping out, I really do appreciate it. Although I do know my way around a PC from build videos, this is still my very first build, and I'd love to get advice from others who are more experienced than I. Thanks!

So it looks like the R9 390 is going to be the GPU of choice here then, that's great :). I was actually wondering, would an SSD be necessary for this build? If not, which build would be the best out of those 2? I hate to make it almost seem like a competition, but I really just want to know how I'll just get the best performance. Thanks!

A ssd is a must in my opinion for this day and age windows will load in 1/2 the time programs will be allmost instant and new games like ssd's (batman alltho i think this is more of a lazy dev move) ssds are much faster for recording/editing games/video there is no drawback to haveing one tbh.
You will wonder why you never had one when you use one.

Alright, thanks for the quick responses guys :). I have modified the build to accommodate an SSD, the mechanical keyboard, and I also really wanted a case with a window, raising the price up to ~$1200. If I could do better for this price but still keep the case/keyboard/monitor, then go ahead and let me know :) http://pcpartpicker.com/p/JRLzcf

If you're wanting to overclock: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3gLtTW
Else: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/nr7zcf

If you want to spend a touch extra get a larger SSD (no larger than 250GB) then if there's some cash left maybe put it into a better mobo (if you're overclocking, else the case/peripherals).

the The NZXT Source 210 is garbage especially when there trying pass it off as a $55 case lol -no usb3 and the video card whont fit without tinkering and possible dremeling lol.

CM N400 might do then?

Ok, so now we're going towards the sapphire Radeon r9 over the MSI? And that case, (or any case with a side window) is out of the picture? Sorry if I'm being picky, it's just not everyday that I spend ~$1200

The sapphire card has a better cooler, but won't fit in that case without some modding apparently. The case hasn't even got USB3 though, so I'd rather swap that out for something else rather than the GPU, because the case isn't going to be impacting performance.

The deepcool tesseract could be an option if you want a side panel + USB3 + a case that'll fit that card:

Might be a touch outside your budget but you might want to take a look at skylake btw

Alright then, Thanks! So I guess this will be the potential final build > http://pcpartpicker.com/p/vF7zcf. I expected to use the Crucial BX100 as the SSD, but if the Samsung will perform almost as good as it then I'll just go that route :)

EDIT: I've decided to spend a little more on the case and just go with the corsair 350d, as I like it much more http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Np9fBm. If there are any incompatibilities with it, please let me know :D

I'd love to try getting skylake, but just the fact that it'd make me change my motherboard and make me add a aftermarket cooler would simply drag the price up too high :/
