Failed Android Root HELP!

Hello people of Tek Syndicate,

I recently unlocked the bootloader of my HTC One and installed a custom recovery (TWRP) which went fine without any problems, then i copied superSU to my internal storage and then from there installed the .zip from the custom recovery which also went fine. But when i check with Root Checker it says my device isnt rooted and when i open the SuperSU app it says there is no SU binary.

I have tried updating superSU, that didnt work then i tried the SuperSU app by clockwork mods and that didnt work either, could anyone suggest a solution like possibly how to uninstall the SU from the XBIN or how to get the new binary.

Thank you in advance.

reflash?

also, why are you copying su anywhere?

what do you mean by reflash im quite a novice at rooting and my friend who has done it before toled me to copy the supersu zip file to the internal storage and the use TWRP to install it

after you installed twrp, any custom rom you install afterwards usually come pre-rooted. are you on the stock rom? you might be able to download and install the stock rom that comes pre-rooted.

yes im still using stock HTC Sense android its just the SuperSU root that giving me trouble it maybe because im running htc android 4.3 and the root was designed for an earlier version
