Fail PSA V4220 Error 2000:0142

I have a Dell Latitude E5430 Laptop and I ran a diagnostic check to check for errors and I received the error

    Fail PSA V4220 Error 2000:0142. Hard Drive 0 - S/N
    E38345630XAZ6N, Long self test unsuccessful

    Validation 70394

A friend of mine told me it might mean that my hard drive is failing and told me to run the command prompt command

    wmic
    diskdrive get status

When I hit enter it comes back as

    Status
    OK

I’m not sure what the issue is and I’m not sure where I should look next. Does anyone have any ideas and would be willing to help me out?

Your friend is probably right. Back up your important files and get a new drive.

I agree that is a good idea and will be doing that most of today. The good news is I was planning on replacing the hard drive anyway. Awesome job by the way, Freelance Procrastinator
