Hey guys, I just made my steam account about 3 or 4 days ago and I need some good free to play games to play as I don't have the money to purchase some (it all went into the PC haha). I only have Team Fortress 2 and Vindictus. Any other games I should check out? I plan on buying Amnesia, Supreme Commandar 2, Skyrim (when I have the money) and a couple others. What games does Tek Syndicate highly recommend that are free? Also which ones do you recomend that are cheap?? thanks!
For F2P games, check out Alien Swarm, Tribes Ascend, Blacklight Retribution, and Spiral Knights. As for buying games, a good one would be the Half-Life series. Not only are the games themselves awesome, but there are tons of great mods for them, like Black Mesa, Nightmare House 2, or Synergy(a co-op mod for HL2). You should also check out indie games like Terraria, Super Meat Boy, and The Binding of Isaac.
Black Mesa is just the first half life with nicer graphics, so you can just buy HL2 and use that mod, so you'll get 2 for 1 haha.

Star Wars: The Old Republic mmorpg goes f2p November 15th - Worth the download since it'll be free. I used to play it on a friends account, was decent fun. I'm sure there will be a good influx of new players once the f2p model launches.

Quake Live is a great twitch shooter (It's Quake 3 in-broweser). Love me some quake 3.
Killing Floor goes on sale a lot for around five dollars and Ive gotten plenty of play time off it.
The Left 4 Dead games go on sale a lot so I would suggest those. Legend of Grimrock is a good title at $15 and it has a good mod community. For F2P I would go with Alien Swarm and Blacklight Retrubition.
I've been having an insane amount of fun in Gotham City Impostors, tho i bought it first day and they cut my rank before it went f2p :(
