What is the best bang-for-the-buck eternal WiFi antenna (one that works off USB). There are some weak signals I want to reach.

I have one myself. It's very good.  

Note that it's probably illlegal to broadcast at more than about 1 watt where you live. The drivers will know this and scale down the power output of the antennae automatically. You could always override that limit though ^^

EDIT:
If you want even better reach you could go with this one and get a directional antennae too. If you know where the networks you want to reach are.
